Limited Pigtails Shirts for Sale!

People were asking me before about some Pigtails merchandise, and I did some items before in a Christmas Bazaar. So now I’m selling these last pieces of Pigtails T-shirts. They are for kids and adult sizes which you can visit the close up pictures from Pigtails Facebook page and Pigtails Group Page and download the price list here.

They are heat press designs and very good quality. Log on to your Facebook and join Pigtails page or just email me if you’re interested.

 
By the way, this will be the last time I’m going to use these designs for shirts and other merchandise. So really limited offer. And also featured the very design that I did, which is one of my Pigtails with an umbrella which got me to keep on designing. *winks*

Meet the Sausage Pets

This is my latest project. In my previous posts, I’ve introduced them and here they are (with names). Meet Bingo the dog. Kimmy the lovely cat. And Duke the adorable little pig.

You will see more of them along with my adorable cuties, Pigtails.

I suppose now you can see why they’re called “Sausage Pets.” :)

People have kept asking me about Pigtails shop and I really don’t have the means ($) to produce them locally (and also have to figure out where to stock them which is a bigger problem). Plus, illustrating them with limited time was tiring (=___=) but I’m very thankful to those who ordered! :)

After browsing so much time on Google, I stumble on society6.com which produces T-shirts,  hoodies, iphone casing, ipod, ipad and laptop skins, tote bags and my favorite is pillows! :) Something that helps me to upload my designs and they will be the one to print it and ship it.

A big request from a fan

A few weeks ago, I got a request from a fan who wanted me to draw her and Taylor Swift. I hesitated a bit because I have my doubts to myself if I could even draw Taylor Swift. After some encouragement, I did try to sketch it and came up with this:

So far so good and I’m on the right track. I do hope that Andrea will like the drawing of Taylor Swift and I know she’s a big fan of her. (You are still my big fan of Pigtails, right?)

Painting Pigtails Style

My first take on painting Pigtails on paper. Yes, it’s true. No Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to aid me in this. I tried my very best so please be kind. (hehe).

I did try to sketch one of my characters on paper and pencil to make sure I get almost the same style as the ones on Illustrator. It’s not as perfect as I thought but I’m very proud of it (for my first try).

I’m not a Fine Arts graduate (obviously hahaha) but I’m trying to give it a go at it. Maybe a bit of practice on sketching and painting should give me some time to get it right. If you look at it closely, you’ll see the pencil marks that I haven’t got around to erasing it.

The medium I used is watercolor (the kid stuff one) and just mixing the colors did give the color that I want (almost) and 2 paint brushes. :)

Drawing Pigtails

While I was bored and done all my work for the day, I drew my Pigtails on a white board and surprised that I can draw them without the aid of my Adobe Illustrator. It’s not as good though but almost. :)

I’m thinking that this maybe the first and last video of me drawing them. It’s a short video clip that was taken by my colleague with his PSVita (Thank you!) So enjoy. :)

P.S. Had to change the background music and this only one I can find. So bear with it. Hehehe! :)

So far this is what I’ve come up after I have sketched it and redraw it in my illustrator. I didn’t know what to do next. Should I make it as a desktop wallpaper? Calendar for summer? Or another stationery design?

A Pigtails Tattoo?

Yes, there's one now. Thanks to Basia for sharing this photo of her with one of my Pigtails characters as a tattoo on her left clavicle. Honestly I'm flattered by the gesture that you did and I do hope you won't regret it in years to come.

And kids, if you're going to get a tattoo, you must be old enough to do it. Okay? =)

I'm such a sleepy head...

Right after the holidays, I’ve been very busy with my current job and have to admit that I missed updating my blog. Not only that, I lost my inspiration to draw (for a while). It’s not just work that has cluttered my mind other sorts of things.

However, I’ve been watching this fantasy cartoons that I often see on TV like Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, The Return of the Cat, Ponyo on the Cliff, Kiki’s Delivery Service and My Neighbor Totoro which was really about never giving up and just gave me the inspiration to pick up my sketch pad and start drawing.

These are just some of the sketches that I did. Not sure where I’m going to place them yet but definitely going to be part of my designs.

  The rest I’ll reveal next time.

A few weeks has passed and yet the victims of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan still needs help after the typhoon Sendong. Thousands have died and injured. Our neighbor had to fly to their province because they have to help out their relatives who are victims of this catastrophe. I have donated cash and my old clothes to the church and it is not enough.

Perhaps this coming New Year, our resolutions be to help and reach out to the ones in need just like what we did for Japan. Here’s one of the official sites where you can help out, Red Cross. Whatever you don’t use in your closet, perhaps you can donate to help out.

Angry Birds by Rovio has become one of the most popular games to date. I’m one of its avid fans. Trying my best to conquer one stage at a time. And if I can’t, I ask my colleagues to do it for me. (Haha!)

I’ve been thinking of what costume for my Pigtails to wear on Halloween. As I was searching in Google, I found out that there are a lot of Angry Birds Halloween costumes. Have you thought of what to wear for Halloween?

Do Lucky Cats Really work?

Chinese believes that if you have a business and you want to earn more, you have to have lucky cat. This bring luck to your business and end up earning more.

My friend have been collecting cats to help her with her business, so I made this one for her (and yes as you have requested months ago. Hahaha!)

I did try to make a few sketches of a cat suit worn by my little Pigtails. But didn’t turn out the way I expected.

Some of it look like a mouse instead of a cat.

And some how, I think I manage to nailed it. What do you think?

I’m a scholastican

There are lot of shirts going around and I’m sure you have seen it, too. Those “I am…” tee shirts. And it just so happens that I thought making one for Pigtails. The school that I attended was St. Scholastica’s College and this is what our uniforms look like for Grade School and High School students.

Back in the old days, they were wearing longer sleeves and jumper skirts. Good thing that they’ve updated it up a bit. Not so hot to wear it.

That’s the question I’ve been asking myself lately. First of, yes I need to really update my blog. My last post for my blog was March and I do need to make up for it. Help Japan

I was contemplating of posting something for Pigtails this week, but after what has happened to Japan, help is needed.

On a Friday afternoon, Japan was hit with a terrifying 8.9 magnitude  earthquake. Following the earthquake, a series of after shocks and a big tsunami hits the cities near the coast lines. When you think that wasn’t enough, Nuclear power plants are exploding and fears the spread of radiation.

It is sad to watch the news after the devastation in Japan. However, there’s something we all can do and that is to help.

A boring Sunday afternoon and I began sketching for Pigtails. And funny thing was, this is one of my doodles. (Hehehe) I was thinking of drawing some new poses for them on scrapbook. Didn’t mean to come up with this one though. Oh wait… gotta go, nature calls!
